Book Review for The Princess Mermaid and the Missing Sea Shells
From the Forth Worth Examiner

A story to be enjoyed by those aged 4 through 8. In this story Princess Nicole breaks the rule never to go swimming alone.is captured by the crew of Captain J. Lee Fish, the nasty pirate!
When the other mermaids got wind of Princess Nicole's capture, a plan was hatched and the rescue was underway! This story teaches every mermaid the importance of following the rules and shows how, by working together, they were able to rescue the princess and send Captain J. Lee Fish and his crew swimming off to the far corners of the seven seas.

Michael DiPinto did an outstanding job of delivering a lesson along with a lovely story. It has received the much coveted seal of approval from my grands! I hope DiPinto will continue to put his stories together and share with other little ones. There can never be too much reading material for parents or grandparents to share with kids, there is nothing more important than learning to love reading. Stories like this will help develop that.

Book Review for The Princess Mermaid and the Missing Sea Shells
I got this book for my 8 year old niece. She loves the ocean and is very adventurous, so I thought this would be perfect for her. It is an easy read and introduces children to sea life in a fun and informative way. The book is 33 pages with full color images on one side and text on the other. I would recommend this book to anybody who has a little girl with an imagination!

Book Review For The Bridge Monster
The Bridge Monster by Michael J. DiPinto is the story of the curious and mischievous monster who lives under drawbridges. He always hides and only very few people have seen glimpses and peeks of his tiny little hands and seven-toed feet. Even the bridge tenders have no clue where he comes from but everyone knows he has made his home under the bridge. He gets annoyed when vehicles pass over the bridge and sometimes he shakes the bridge very hard and sometimes he shakes it too hard. He loves teasing the bridge tenders too and many of them believe he is lonely and looking for a friend. So next time you pass over the bridge, say hello to the Bridge Monster and make him smile. The story is wonderful and now crossing bridges will never be the same again once readers finish the book. The concept of the Bridge Monster is adorable and Sue Lynn Cotton's illustrations not only breathe life into the scenes but also give the Bridge Monster a personality of his own. Her illustrations add color to the story and will captivate young readers. It is a simple story and there is humor, fun, and a small element of fear as young readers get to know the Bridge Monster. It is a good story for bedtime storytelling and for reading aloud and storytelling sessions in classrooms and school libraries. The story will make children and adults look at bridges with a different perspective once they complete this book.

Book Review for Along For The Ride

Talk about being inspired by everyday events! When a grasshopper landed on the windshield of Michael DiPinto's car, instead of using his hand or his wiper blades to send the grasshopper hopping, DiPinto decided to see how long his flying companion would cling to the windshield. As he drove, he envisioned what "Hugo" (as he named the grasshopper) was seeing and feeling. His thoughts gave birth to DiPinto's third book for children, Along for the Ride. What a delightful book it is!

Hugo is a base-jumping grasshopper who loves to have fun. But nothing quite prepares Hugo for what he'll experience after he lands on that windshield while trying to escape the wheels of a school bus. Hugo gets a kick out of seeing folks and even dogs riding in cars all around him. He raises a wing to wave at kids on a school bus who are excitedly waving at him. When he sees a field of horses, he's thinking how cool it would be to ride one of them. When he starts thinking it's time to get off the windshield and contemplates jumping, he notices cows nearby and decides that with his luck, he'll end up in the middle of a cow patty.

Hugo's adventure eventually ends, of course, but along the way, children will delight in looking at the wonderful illustrations and will enjoy Hugo's windshield ride along with him. Along for the Ride would be a nice addition to a primary classroom as teachers and children imagine other things Hugo might experience. Highly recommended.
